Digital Marketing Manager

Q Social Media (QSM) is looking to recruit a digital marketing manager to manage digital marketing and social media activities relating to QSM and its clients. You are expected to have previous experience in this role with technical knowledge to undertake digital marketing tasks. Where needed further training will be provided to undertake tasks and supervision to further develop digital marketing skills.

We are a small dynamic agency focused on digital marketing only, based in Exeter with clients locally and further afield in the UK. We work with a variety of small and medium size businesses – business to consumer and business to business and non-profit organisations. An area of specialism and growth is ecommerce focused businesses in driving more online sales.

Job Title:Digital Marketing Manager
Hours/Salary:25hrs per week – salary £22,100

Part time role with flexible working – from home and in the office

Reports to:Chris Wood
Overall purpose:To effectively assist in the provision of:

1. A high-quality digital marketing service to clients.

2. The digital marketing and promotion of the company brand and services.

3. Business development in helping to gain new clients.

Key Requirements:

1. Previously worked as a digital marketing manager for a digital marketing agency handling multiple clients. At least 2 to 3 years of experience.
2. Able to work to a series of tasks (self-sufficient once aware of the basics), prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines.
3. High attention to detail and able to double check own work prior to submitting to clients or campaigns going live.
4. Able to track where you are with clients on a week-to-week basis and develop in-depth client knowledge over time. Flexible and willing to shift focus based on client priorities.
5. Work cooperatively as part of a team, developing and maintaining effective relationships with colleagues and clients.
6. Willing to show initiative and generate ideas for digital marketing campaigns.
7. Good English verbal and writing skills – you will be communicating with clients, writing posts, Ads and other key feature pieces on digital marketing and social media platforms. Minimum C in English G.C.S.E or equivalent.
8. Trustworthy and responsible as will be trusted to help manage digital marketing & social media platforms for QSM and for clients.
9. Educated to A Levels or Level 3 BTEC standard.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

1. Management of clients’ digital marketing & social media platforms. See the key platforms section for the type of platforms you will be working on.
2. Management of Q Social Media digital marketing & social media platforms. Helping to develop the Q Social Media brand, website and other marketing materials.
3. Responding to client queries – technical knowledge required to be able to respond to queries.
4. Assist in the design and production of digital marketing branding, images and content for client projects.
5. Assist in the coordination of social media engagement for Q Social Media and for client projects, increasing followers and interactions.
6. Ensure high attention to detail and able to double check own work prior to submitting to clients.
7. Provide research and analysis for client projects and for prospective businesses to develop new clients.
8. Maintain and expand social media and digital marketing knowledge and currency through on-going research.
9. Proactively contribute towards the creation and development of internal projects as and when they arise.
10. Be aware of and follow Q Social Media Limited policies and procedures, with particular attention to standards of customer service, health and safety, and equality and diversity.

Key Platforms:

1. Google Ads – Search, Shopping, Display & Video campaigns – able to setup, manage & optimise Ad campaigns.
2. Google Analytics – able to review key stats in-depth, analyse campaigns to further optimise them and report to clients.
3. Google Merchant Center – able to set up and review Shopping feeds that sync to Google Ads.
4. Facebook & Instagram Ad campaigns – able to setup, manage & optimise Ad campaigns. Also Twitter & Pinterest – although the above are the key platforms.
5. Social Media – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and Pinterest – able to setup platforms, draft and post messages, update key features etc.
6. Hootsuite – able to use a social media scheduling tool or equivalent platform.
7. Graphic Design Tools – able to use canva or equivalent platforms to design images for Ad campaigns & social media posts. Experience of Adobe Illustrator would be of use but not essential.
8. Website SEO – able to update WordPress, Shopify and other cms platforms for SEO purposes i.e. updating content, meta data, alt text etc.
9. SEO Tools – able to use SEMRush or equivalent SEO tools.
10. Mailchimp – able to setup and send newsletters in mailchimp or equivalent platform.
11. Microsoft Office – able to use the basics of Word, Excel & Outlook (or equivalent software products).

Ideally experience with all platforms or most of the platforms and where needed training can be provided.
