Welcome to the Q Social Media March Newsletter, top tips for marketing online and upcoming social media training events. Are you ready to convert over to the NEW FACEBOOK TIMELINES layout? It goes live 30th March - see info further below for more details.

Top Tips:

1) Part of Sales Process - social media and Google can be used as part of the sales process. For example use LinkedIn to collact testimonials and copy these to your website. Then mention them in sales proposals, the prospects may even know one of the people giving the testimonial too, which can only further help build your case as why you over your competitors. 

2) Google yourself - ideally you are looking to see at least your testimonial page and LinkedIn profile (if applicable) come up on page one of Google. This way if prospects were to do this (and we have heard a few people doing this) they could research you and feel further reassured in talking to you during the sales process.

Top Tips:

1) Research your market - On Twitter using Hootsuite you can set up keyword searches to track conversations regarding industry keywords. On LinkedIN you can join industry based discussion groups and see what others are saying in your industry. Along with undertaking advanced searches on People or Companies to research your market by key criteria. 

If you are doing this already and want to take it one step further, there are social media monitoring tools that can help you capture key industry data online. This is whenever keywords are mentioned on the web or via social media platforms.
